Dear Les Murray,

Signed with haaaaaaaaaate.

Still…

…alive.

Just to clear some Aussie stuff before we get onto the preview…
Zdrilic released, shame he was such a great player. No.
Zadkovich gone, decent player just slightly mad though.
Patrick gone, shame – he was young and did pop up with the odd goal and would’ve liked him to get a runout.

Uh, the visual side of the WordPress Posty Blog thing ain’t working so I’m forced to hard-code this in the code tab and since I don’t know how to code I guess that just means plain text.

Hopeful Arsenal Lineup left to right:

Formation: 4-3-3
Goalkeeper: Davepat Seaman-Jennings
Defenders: Nigkenny Wintersamson, Davmartin O’Learkeown, Steonvy Adabould, Leepat Ricedixon
Midfielders: Liam-Maroberct Brady-Piremars, Patray Vierparlour, Perry Groves
Strikers: Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Ian Wrightwrightwright

Probable Arsenal Lineup left to right:

Formation: 4-5-1
Goalkeeper: Manuel Almunia
Defenders: Clichy, Gallas, Senderos, Sagna
Midfielders: Walcott (but probably not), Diaby (please no), Flamini, Fabregas, Hleb
Striker: Adebayor

I’m not in a position to talk tactics.
So I won’t.

Everyone’s hyping this game up as some awesome make or break tie which it is don’t get me wrong but Jesus Christ Arsenal fans relax the hell up. I’m predicting a funnish (hopefully) 2-2 draw and hoping, hoping for a 2-0 win with an Ade goal and a Sagna rocketish from the right flank kind of Winterburn like goal.

This match has a touch of Aussieness to as good old Zeljko Kalac should be playing. I get surprised at how many people in Australia loathe Kalac. They call him shit and other horsey names and stuff – if you encounter a person who badmouths Kalac, ask them to find out any other mistakes he’s made down the track besides the whole of the Croatia game. Very little, the Schwarz has made more mistakes in the Boro goal (maybe due to that shit defense in front of him) and Kalac was top class at Sydney U and Roda JC.

Back to the actual match, we need to be work it, bake it, do it makes us stronger, better, faster, stronger – add some beats besides that and we get a chart hit! Let’s give the captaincy to someone obscure in the midfield like Flamini that doesn’t get as much recognition as the number 4 beside him and just watch us win 5-1 at the San Siro.

Hmm, don’t have any ideas besides that – do you?
Cheers until the match.

It’s official.

Good to see some initiative by Kosmina but not what we need, would’ve been happy with one but a brick of strikers, all quality is a bit much. Granted Bridge can play up left and Enfield up right but I do think our squad has a little too much depth – like Liverpool, alot of quality players that we would have to rotate and that would just piss everyone off.

Our most realistic options would be:

GK: Bolton
LB: Tsatallios and not Renaud hopefully/ McFlynn
CB: Milligan/Fyfe
CB: Popovic if he doesn’t die from old age/Fyfe
RB: Fyfe/ Middleby/ Zadkovich
RM: Enfield/Middleby/Zadkovich/Biddle
CM: Juninho (if staying)/McFlynn/Corica
CM: Juninho (if staying)/Colosimo/Corica
LM: Middleby/Corica/Biddle/Bridge
ST: Brosque/Bridge/Santalaab
ST: Aloisi/Patrick/Enfield

That’s a helluvalot.
Then again, depth might not be so bad.

Bridge will miss part of the start of the season owing to Olyroo duties and such which will give us a chance to try some more obscure striking partnerships such as Brosque/Aloisi and I would like to see Patrick and Enfield get a run out.

We’ll give the title a shot next season I reckon.
Squad just needs a bit of trimmin’ though which has already begun with Talay out and Juninho and Zdrilic probably going.

Queensland Roar striker Reinaldo has signed a two-year deal with K-League outfit Busan I’Park and may make his debut for the club this weekend. One of the greater strikers of the A-Leagues short life, a step into Korea seems more like a sideways instead of a forward. He was linked to Colorado, Houston, Real Salt Lake – clubs in France like Metz – and even Japan with Sanfrecce, FC Tokyo and obviously good old Pierre and Avispa Fukuoka. Seems a money thing, if the K-League payed the same as the A-League he would’ve stayed here – a move to the US or Japan would be a great career move for him buuuuuuuut maybe Busan were the first to make a concrete offer.

Whatever, not my loss.

Cheers until tomorrow.

Short one today. Bout 5 sentences I believe as my Banjax list now extends to both my physical being and my computer which I am currently running in Saf Mode in a vain attempt to fix that Blue Screen of Death.

2:30am kickoff it is and honestly, I thought we were going to draw and well – I was right.  Judging by some of the comments made by Villa fans and even some of our own (albeit a minor sect), we were f*laking lucky to get a point and Arsenal are the shittest team ever and I’m going to support someone else.

Hey guys, hey guys, hey guys – WE’RE STILL FIRST. Jesus some of our own mob sound like them West Ham fans halfway through Pardew’s reign before Teves and Curbs came.

That’s about it really.
